High Limit Thermostat 320 C Single Pole
High limit thermostat 320 C Single Pole, 16A, 6x87mm bulb, 1500mm capillary, 250v are used as a safety feature on ovens to ensure that if the ovens main thermostat fails then the high limit thermostat will prevent the thermostat from going past the safety set temperature.
They are typically set to about 15% over the thermostat's maximum control temperature which will automatically cause the heating circuit to go into the open position. The circuit will not go live again until the reset button is pressed. This thermostat is normally positioned in an out-of-the-way position so it cannot be easily overridden by users.
