Digital Thermostat 8820 PTC sensor from Under Control Instruments introduces the following, high-specification 8820 series digital thermostats. It is supplied as standard with a 20A mains relay output and 2m PTC sensor for controlling temperatures from –50 to 150°C. It is suitable for many applications requiring on/off control and heating or cooling applications. Being IP65 means that they are suitable for areas where water is present protecting them from moisture ingress and wipeable when cleaning.
Digital temperature controllers are used as replacements for normal capillary thermostats. These provide an accurate method of control with a clear display of the actual temperature. The 8820 is capable of performing either heating or refrigeration control applications. These can replace the Eliwell ID range of controllers.
With a 20A relay, this takes away the additional cost and space that would normally be taken by a contactor or relay switch. These controllers are typically used within our catering or refrigeration sectors and applications that are controlling -50 to 150°C.
